Favourite restaurant or food:Cioppinos, Tableau, and Bao Bei are my tops in Vancouver. I've recently been blown away by the sweet delights at the new Pure Bread in Gastown. On Lok on Hastings makes a BBQ Pork and Wonton Noodle in Soup that (regularly) rocks my world.

Who do you greatly admire? My business partner, Gwen. 13 years of sitting side by side and she never ceases to amaze me with her strategic savvy, sparkling wit, and genuine kindness.

Favourite place to visit: The South of France, or as I like to call it: heaven.

Morning beverage of choice: A French press of Kicking Horse Coffee's Three Sisters blend.

Oxford comma: Yay or nay? Always, always yay. (Unless, of course, a client has a style guide that says “nay”.)

If you didn’t work in PR, what would you choose to do? Lousy math grades aside, I would be an architect or an architectural engineer. I’ve recently had an inside peek at a couple of amazing construction projects: YVR's (A-B Connector) and Cadillac Fairview’s Pacific Centre redevelopment. Creating a built environment is awesome work!

What are you most proud of in your career? Having had the guts to strike out and start a business (in 2008 no less!).

Which news story were you most captivated by in the past year? I don’t know about last year, but I plan to be pretty captivated by this year’s federal election.

Where would we typically find you on the weekend and what would you be doing? You’ll find meon a mountain. I’ve blogged about that here.

What natural talent do you wish you had? This question always reminds me of Leonard Cohen’s Tower Of Songand the lyric “I was born like this, I had no choice, I was born with the gift of a golden voice.” That line always makes me chuckle. I would really love to have a golden voice.... but the absence of it has never stopped me at the karaoke bar.
